Investor Program
The Investor Program is designed for high-net-worth individuals who are willing to make substantial financial investments in the Canadian economy in exchange for permanent residency. The program typically requires applicants to demonstrate a high level of net worth, usually starting at CAD $2,000,000 or more, and to make an investment of CAD $1,200,000 in a government-approved, interest-free investment for a specified period (usually 5 years).
Applicants must also have experience in business management or ownership. The goal of the program is to attract individuals who can contribute to the economic development of the country. Though Canada’s federal Investor Program is currently closed, several provinces offer investor streams through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), providing a path to permanent residency. Once accepted, investors and their families can enjoy the benefits of Canadian permanent residence, such as access to healthcare, education, and a high standard of living.
